KATRIN STEINER

Dr. Katrin Steiner joined our team in Berlin in 2011. After her pharmacy studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, Dr. Steiner obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from the same university in 2011. She worked extensively in the field of oral multiparticulate dosage forms for controlled release. Dr. Steiner can further rely on a broad knowledge of transdermal patches, gastro-retentive devices, controlled release matrices, buccal tablets, biodegradable implants as well as injectable multiparticulate systems for sustained release.

XIAO-YIN MAK

Dr. Xiao Yin Mak joined our Basel office in 2011. Dr. Mak received degrees in Biochemistry (B.S) and Chemistry (B.A) from the University of Rochester, NY in 2003. She went on to complete her Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008, where her research was focused on natural product synthesis and developing new reaction methodology. She then spent time as a post-doctoral researcher in the Biomolecular Systems department at the Max-Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, where she gained experience working with flow chemistry. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in IP from Bournemouth University.
